About Me
I have lived in Harford County Maryland for almost my entire life and can say that I am blessed to have had a great family and childhood.
I knew while working in various office positions, that I never felt as though I was where I was supposed to be. My time spent managing horse barns however, made me feel like I belonged AND it was as though just being around the horses was healing me somehow. I had always believed this was possible, and then it was actually happening.
I have been married a few times and understand very well the meaning of “narcissist”, and although I am so happy to be out of those marriages, I have to say that they taught me so much. I learned about myself to the extent that it was crystal clear that what I wanted to do with my life was to help others heal.
After my last marriage ended, I chose to get that degree in Psychology I had been talking about. As I was proudly finishing up that degree, a good friend told me about a program called Touched by a Horse, and the EGCMethod. After some research, I knew this was my calling, this was how I was going to make a difference in people’s lives.
I have believed since I was a young girl, that horses look into your heart and heal your soul. Through some of my hardest times in life, being at the barn and with my horse were what helped my heart to heal.
The Gestalt modality is one of self-awareness, and authenticity. I believe that while learning this method over the past two years, I have come to an amazing place in my life. I have finally come to know my self-worth and have learned how to share what I’ve learned with other women who may have been down the same roads as I have.
After two years of listening intently to classes, reading the materials, then reading them again… going to in-person trainings to dive deeply into my own healing (or work), passing exams, and completing the business requirements… I am now fulfilling my purpose as a Certified Equine Gestaltist™.
As a Trauma Informed Trained professional, I will help my clients dive into their pasts to begin working through their unfinished business or trauma. Bringing this subconscious to the surface is the first step in the healing process.
“Tricia is such a good coach to work with. She is easy to talk to and connect with. She is good at holding space and connecting with people.”

Why Horses?
- Horses give freely, honestly and without judgment.
- Horses see our souls and heal old wounds left by past trauma.
- Horses always live exactly in the moment. This means they identify best with the humans who are able to do the same.
How do horses help us heal?
- Horses see past the outside of a human. They know whether we are congruent or not.
- A horse will never judge us and will always ask us to be true to our most authentic selves.
- Horses listen and hold space for us even when the rest of the world just keeps on spinning.
- Horses teach us boundaries, love, and respect for all.
The ECG Method is highly effective in the following areas (this is not an extensive list):
- Grief
- Recovery after toxic/narcissistic relationships
- Life after abuse
- Trauma healing
- Depression
- Victim recovery

“The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire.”
